Dragan

He’s a professor of physics at the University of Warsaw and the National University of Singapore, where he leads a research group working on connecting the theory of relativity with quantum theory. Winner of scientific awards from the European Science Foundation, the Polish Minister of Education, the Foundation for Polish Science, the National Science Centre, and the weekly magazine Polityka. He has also received the Digital Shapers Visionary of the Year title. He was a scholar at the University of Oxford and has worked at Imperial College London and the University of Nottingham. He is the author of three books and more than 70 scientific papers. Winner of the Photographer of the Year title from the British magazine Digital Camera, the Commercial of the Year director for the brand 4F according to the Polish Association of Advertisers, Visionary of the Year awarded by Digital Shapers, and Person of the Year by the SAR Association. He was nominated for the Golden Lion at the Cannes advertising festival and won a Fryderyk Award for music video of the year. He has created photographs and short films for Netflix, HBO, Channel 4, Sky TV, PlayStation, Converse, Energizer, and Xbox. He’s  the creator of the photographic Dragan Effect and the author of exhibitions in Milan, London, Paris, Amsterdam, New York, and Tokyo. He has won the grand prize at the London Fashion Film Festival, Best in Show from the British Creative Review, awards at the Berlin Music Video Awards, the Polish Popkillery, and Script Fiesta, and was a finalist at Berlin Commercial. He has also received awards at festivals such as Golden Drum, Epica Awards, Corbis Awards, and the Photo Masters Cup London. Director of award-winning music videos for Quebonafide, Behemoth, and Hania Rani. As a teenager, he won numerous awards in electronic music competitions within the demoscene.

He’s a creator defined by a rare convergence of minds: that of a scientist and an artist. Trained as a theoretical physicist, he works on bridging relativity theory with quantum theory. By passion, he’s a director and visual author whose images transcend the boundaries of commercial aesthetics and genre cinema. His cinematic language is bold, uncompromising, and instantly recognizable.

He creates worlds charged with strong, often dark emotional intensity, where realism meets metaphysics and aesthetics intertwine with philosophical reflection.
