Jakubowska
Gronowski
A duo for film & life. They bring both a female and a male perspective to every project — like yin and yang. This balance allows them to approach each brief from a broader point of view, maintain a dynamic creative flow, and divide responsibilities when a production requires being in two places at once. They met at the Faculty of Multimedia Communication at the University of the Arts in Poznań, where they both graduated. Natalia is also a graduate of the Cinematography Department of the Łódź Film School. Łukasz actively became involved in the art world as a visual artist, and his works have been exhibited in galleries around the world.
They move fluidly across a wide spectrum of projects, combining documentary sensitivity with the aesthetics of advertising and music videos. Comfortable in different formats and conventions, they craft stories grounded in authentic emotion, precise casting, and strong visual consistency.
In the advertising world, they are known for their ability to work with real people and draw out genuine authenticity. They have mastered the art of storytelling without losing sight of realism — it was them who discovered the now-iconic “Grandma from Piątnica,” a perfect example of how naturally they weave real protagonists into commercial narratives.
Their work has also been widely recognized within the industry. In 2022, they received the KTR award for directing the film “Gdańsk: City of Equality,” along with multiple Effie Awards, including a Bronze “Best of Europe” distinction at the Effie Awards Europe.
Privately, they are passionate cyclists and runners, and they co-create the sportswear brand Enthusiast. The discipline, perseverance, and energy that accompany them in sports naturally carry over into their film work as well.
